Poetry of Linen
A while ago, as in years ago, took some photos. The lighting was a bit harsh, as mid day sunlight tends to be.
Words of inspiration failed to find proper space to land. The visual artistry was beyond the written capabilities.
These many years later, some of the notions have found their way onto social media.
Grabbing these words, as social platforms are prone to changes, they now live on a blog that has a better chance of being around longer… for more to read and enjoy.
Despite the best efforts to set up another photo session with this lady, this one set was all that was arranged in a split second.
Until another opportunity presents itself, the words and photos now meet and dance together.

A little fancy does the soul good
But never at the expense of forgetting your roots
Never being so crass as to soil ones poise
Always elegant despite the toil
Standing tall
Avoiding falls
Not depending on man
But open to sharing with a gentleman
Ride and or die
Never the roll of the dice
Think twice
Before you assume she’s only nice
A diamond in the rough
A cut above the tough
Its the Tuesday glam
Just for you, fam.

Some days feel like the weight of shadows are holding you back
Darkness wrapping about and around you
If only you took a quick peek back…you’d see a brighter picture
The sun beaming and supporting your travel
Yet…the casting of doubt by your own biased reflection has you thinking gloom instead of light
Good thing you wore some white…making your own sunshine in the shade
Then…when the sparkles speak their song ….you’ll smile as you carry on
Shadows come and go…but your inner sunlight is your guiding compass
Keep on keeping on

They thought of you as frail
As if your beauty was fragility
Didn’t they know… or did they miss the memo?
It’s your strength that gives you beauty?
A refined polished look
Is not something that comes overnight
The outfit may be a little tight
But to all, it’s quite all right
In the midst of chaos
Stands a strong woman
In the midst of the construction
Reigns a queen making the decisions
Angelic in appearance
Test the buttons and see another
Whatever you can do
She does in heels
Just like she arrested your attention
Despite you best of intentions
She’s on a mission
To make her dreams come to fruition
Delicate in appearances
Created by strength… in all instances
Watch your steps
Her majesty is on the move
Your best move
Is to come along for the ride
